Finding good plants in Pakistan isn’t always easy. Local nurseries don’t have much variety, and the plants often look unhealthy. That’s where Gardener.pk comes in. We’re an online plant nursery serving customers across Pakistan, from Karachi to Lahore to Islamabad.
Honestly, shopping for plants used to be a hassle. You’d drive around the city, visit multiple nurseries, and still not find what you wanted. Now you can browse hundreds of plants from home and get them delivered. We ship to most cities in Pakistan, usually within 2-3 days.
The plants arrive in good condition because we pack them properly. It took us some trial and error to figure out the best way to ship plants in Pakistan’s heat, but we’ve got it down now. Most customers are surprised how healthy their plants look when they unpack them.
Snake plants are probably our most popular item. They’re tough, don’t need much water, and handle low light well. Perfect for apartments or offices where you might not have great windows. Money plants are another favorite – they grow fast and don’t mind if you forget to water them occasionally.
If you want something more colorful, peace lilies have nice white flowers and do well indoors. ZZ plants are almost impossible to kill, which makes them great for beginners. We also sell pothos in different varieties – they trail nicely from shelves or hanging pots.
For air purification, spider plants and rubber trees work well. The spider plants make baby plants that you can share with friends. Rubber trees grow into nice statement pieces if you give them a few years.
Roses do surprisingly well here if you choose the right varieties. We stock types that can handle our summers and bloom multiple times per year. Jasmine is always popular – the smell in the evening is worth the effort.
Bougainvillea grows like crazy once it gets established. You can train it as a hedge or let it climb. The colors are fantastic, especially the purple and pink varieties. Hibiscus flowers year-round in most parts of Pakistan, and hummingbirds love them.
For trees, neem is a classic choice. They grow fast and provide good shade. Pomegranate trees give you fruit and nice flowers. If you have space, a mango tree is always a good investment.
Plants face some tough conditions here. The summer heat can be brutal, especially in Sindh and Punjab. Monsoons bring too much water all at once. Winter isn’t usually a problem except in northern areas.
We’ve learned which plants handle these conditions. Succulents and cacti love the heat and don’t mind irregular watering. Most flowering plants do better if they get some afternoon shade during summer months.
Drainage is crucial during monsoon season. We always recommend adding extra drainage material to pots or garden beds. Standing water kills more plants than drought in Pakistan.
The founder started this because he got tired of buying sick plants from local nurseries. Half would die within a month, and there was no guarantee or support. We wanted to create something better for Pakistani plant lovers.
Every plant we sell has been tested in Pakistani conditions. We don’t sell anything that we haven’t grown successfully ourselves. Our nursery partners know what they’re doing, and we inspect plants before shipping.
The care instructions we provide are specific to Pakistan. Generic plant care advice from international websites doesn’t account for our climate and soil conditions. We’ve made plenty of mistakes over the years and learned from them.
When you order from us, you get the plant in its nursery pot with proper soil. We include care instructions written for Pakistani conditions. If something goes wrong in the first month, we’ll replace it.
Delivery usually takes 2-4 days depending on your city. Karachi and Lahore are fastest, Islamabad is next, then other major cities. Remote areas take longer, but we do ship there.
Most people start with 2-3 plants and then order more once they see how healthy they arrive. Building a plant collection takes time, but it’s more affordable than buying everything at once.
People often ask about plant sizes. Our photos show the actual size you’ll receive, not what the plant might look like after years of growth. We try to be honest about this because oversized expectations lead to disappointment.
Watering schedules depend on your specific location and season. Plants in Karachi need different care than plants in Lahore or Peshawar. We provide city-specific guidelines with each order.
Some plants are seasonal. Certain flowering plants do better if planted at specific times of year. We’ll let you know if you’re ordering something that might struggle in current conditions.
If you’re new to this, start simple. Pick 1-2 easy plants and see how they do before ordering more challenging varieties. Snake plants, pothos, and ZZ plants are good beginner choices for indoors. For outdoors, marigolds and hibiscus are forgiving.
Read the care instructions that come with your plants. We put effort into making them practical and specific to Pakistani conditions. Following them makes a big difference in plant survival.
Don’t be discouraged if you lose a plant or two while learning. Even experienced gardeners kill plants sometimes. The important thing is to keep trying and learn from what happens.
Gardener.pk exists to make buying plants easier for people across Pakistan. We handle the sourcing, quality control, and shipping so you can focus on enjoying your plants.
